This strategically designed practice area will allow us to identify exactly where you are losing shots, and how to fix it. The wedge range consists of 9 4’x4’ concrete targets set at 10 yard increments from 30 yards to 110 yards. The goal is to dial in your carry yardage to within 2 yards, at each incremental distance.
Once you have established your distance control for each yardage, it’s time to take the wedge zone challenge! Attempt to hit each target on the fly, and you’ll know when it hits the concrete. You can’t advance to the next target until you have hit the current one. The goal is to complete the 9 target course in the fewest number of total shots.
Score is driven by a variety of aspects of our game; however, the scoring zone (110 yards and in) has the greatest impact on the players ability to lower their score. By creating the wedge range, our students will be able to practice the all important scoring zone in a competitive environment. These skills translate onto the course faster than most other skill sets, resulting in lower scores in a shorter period of time.
